Episode 9 of the Learning Cosmos Podcast has an amazing guest: Dr. Tracey Tokuhama-Espinosa.

Tracey is co-founder of Conexiones: The Learning Sciences Platform which provides evidence-based resources to teachers in English and Spanish. She is an instructor at Harvard College (Summer School) and the Harvard University Extension School where she teaches a course called “The Neuroscience of Learning: An Introduction to Mind, Brain, Health and Education”. She is an Associate Editor of Nature Partner Journal Science of Learning and is a former member of the Organisation For Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) expert panel to redefine expert panel to redefine Teachers’ New Pedagogical Knowledge due to contributions from Technology and Neuroscience. She has taught Kindergarten through University and is ex-Director of the Institute for Teaching and Learning (IDEA) and former Director of Online Learning at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. She has published with UNESCO, Columbia University Teachers college Press, Frontiers, Mind, Brain, and Education journal, among others.

She received her BA in International Relations and BS in Communications from Boston University (magna cum laude), her Master’s in Education from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, and her Ph.D. from Capella University and is a member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA); the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS); Founding Member of the Global Learning Sciences Network (GSoLEN); Founding Member of the International Forum of Researchers in Education (IFORE); International, Mind, Brain, and Education Society (IMBES); the Society For Neuroscience (SfN); The United Nations Delegations Spouses’ Club, (UNDSC) Executive Board, Vice-President; Women’s International Forum (WIF) of the United Nations, Executive Board Member; World Educational Research Association (WERA).
