This was a very interesting post. A great lesson learned, but even better because you shared it. This can help many of us who bite more than we can chew to not feel they are the only ones and that it is important to sometimes say "NO" to preserve our mental health,

I'm glad you found it insightful, Debora. I really do hope people can learn something from this reflection!

It’s what we know, right? Knowing about biases and how the mind works doesn’t make it any easier for us to fight all the things we know better about. At the end of the day, it’s all a learning experience. Congrats on all you’ve accomplished!

Absolutely, Henrick. Semantic memory and procedural memory are not the same and just because we know something, it doesn't mean we can take action. It was definitely a valuable lesson in my life. Thanks for your support!

I find it interesting how the universe sends me messages to untangle what's going on in my own life - and reading this today is a sharp reminder that juggling lots of projects at once is exhilarating but can easily come at the cost of self-care. Giving in to our demanding urge to 'do it all' undermines our ability to do just that!

Thank you for sharing your story of your time in China.
